Working with NCSUN
What we offer
NCSUN works with organisations, funders, and professional partners who want to build community support that actually holds. We run on a live evidence base, a methodology grounded in practice, and a commissioning model designed to pay lived experience fairly as the organisation grows.
How we work
We work in partnership, not transaction. The organisations we build with best are those who see lived experience insight as ongoing work, not a one-off consultation. We prefer reciprocal agreements: arrangements that let us contribute professional expertise while our partner contributes resources, access, or capacity that NCSUN needs to grow. This works particularly well for organisations in the early stages of working with lived experience, and for partners who want to build something real with us rather than buy a single piece of work.
We are honest about where we are. NCSUN is in the foundational stage of a long-term build. Our commissioning model is designed to pay Lived Experience Experts fairly, and we are building the income infrastructure to make that happen. In the meantime, we are transparent with every partner about what we can offer, what we need, and what a reciprocal agreement can look like.
We are honest about what works and what does not. Our methodology is documented. Our figures are auditable. Our community evidence is real.
What we offer
Commissioning lived experience insight.
Councils, housing associations, NHS trusts, charities, and funders working on services that affect neurodivergent, low-income, or otherwise under-served communities. We connect the right Lived Experience Experts with your project and hold the work to our ethical framework.
Strategic partnership and reciprocal agreements.
Ongoing partnerships where NCSUN sits alongside your organisation over time. These often work as reciprocal agreements, where NCSUN contributes professional lived experience insight and our partner contributes something NCSUN needs in return: funding, space, training, introductions, or access.
Funders:
NCSUN has been supported by Edge Fund, Norfolk County Council, and Sported. Our operational record: NCSUN’s founding director has contributed over 650 documented hours since May 2024, full records on request.
