About NCSUN
What NCSUN is
NCSUN CIC is a lived-experience-led organisation serving Norwich and surrounding areas. We were incorporated on 21 October 2025 as a Community Interest Company, asset-locked to The Feed CIC. Operations began in May 2024, eighteen months before formal incorporation. The organisation was built from the ground up on lived experience, and every part of it still runs that way.
Our work connects residents to the right support, first time, without them having to repeat their story. We turn what communities already know into intelligence that services and funders can act on. And we make sure the people whose lived experience drives that intelligence are fairly paid for it.
The Team
Charli McLean
Managing Director and Lived Experience Architect
Charli founded NCSUN in May 2024 from direct lived experience of navigating Norwich’s services, systems, and support networks. She holds a Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance, is a current Open University law student, and has completed programmes with Hatch, Tech Educators, and Fuse Network. She leads NCSUN’s strategy, community work, and partnerships.
Leanne Marie Rose
Safeguarding and Operations Director
Leanne holds NCSUN’s safeguarding, operations, and governance functions. Her role ensures that every part of NCSUN’s work meets formal safeguarding standards and operates within the organisational frameworks NCSUN has built.
Robert McGregor
Director of Strategy and Mission Oversight
Rob holds mission integrity and strategic direction for NCSUN from Wales. His role ensures that NCSUN stays aligned to its founding principles as the organisation grows.
How NCSUN works
NCSUN works from the community, not at it. Most people connect with NCSUN through the Easton Community Cupboard, through Alongside, or at a Gathering. Some stay with the community side of the work. Others choose to contribute their expertise, their time, or their skills back into what NCSUN is building. All of it is lived experience work. All of it matters equally.
The long-term shape of NCSUN includes paid roles for community members who want to take their expertise professional. We are in the foundational stage of building the income infrastructure to make that possible. We are honest with every community member, partner, and funder about where we are in that journey.
Governance
NCSUN CIC is registered at Carrow House, 301 King Street, Norwich NR1 2TG. This is also where we host our Briefs. Company number 16798972. Asset-locked to The Feed CIC, which ensures any assets built by NCSUN remain in community benefit if NCSUN ever ceases to operate. We have formal safeguarding, data protection, and operational policies in place. Our pro bono legal partner is LawWorks
