The Norwich Lived Experience Hub: Our Central Nervous System
The NLEH is the ethical core of NCSUN, transforming the lived wisdom of Norwich residents into a powerful, strategic asset. It is the definitive source of community intelligence for tackling systemic issues, ensuring that policy and service design are always grounded in authentic, first-hand experience.
What the NLEH is, right now:
The Hub currently operates as a dual-function, secure intelligence platform:
Database of Lived Experience Experts (LEEs) & Professional Experience Experts (PEEs): A growing, dynamic database of residents with lived experience across areas of systemic challenge. These consented individuals are available to offer their insights for specific, ethically compensated projects across Norwich and its surrounding areas.
Strategic Insight Asset: An evolving, anonymised and verified database formed from the insights gathered across a 12-month project, comprising over 5,000 conversations with local residents. This intelligence identifies repeated gaps, service failures, and links across the support ecosystem in and around Norwich that no single organisation can see alone.
The NLEH is secured by our Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Protocol and Dynamic Consent, ensuring absolute privacy, dignity, and ethical compensation for contribution.
The Evolution: From NLEH to Connect-Engine (Gine)
The NLEH is the foundation for our ultimate vision: Gine (The Connect-Engine).
Gine will be a sophisticated, neuro-affirming digital tool that takes this aggregated data and translates it into a personalised 12-month roadmap for every NCSUN member. It moves beyond simply collecting data to actively providing tailored, low-friction pathways through Norwich’s fragmented support landscape, connecting members to already-established services and resources across our City.
Our Lived Experience Experts (LEEs) serve several roles, based on individual expertise, strengths and interests: they manually check every GINE output for accuracy, and they are assigned to members to provide personal support throughout their roadmap and subsequent NCSUN journey.
